Cultivating graceful participation in the Body of Jesus Christ with His nourishing Word.

The word Bosko comes from the Biblical story found in John chapter 21. It is here we find the risen LORD Jesus’ loving-kindness and heart of restoration on display in His conversation with Peter.  Earlier in John chapter 13, Peter had committed to lay down his life for Jesus, focusing on his own power to save Jesus. As the story continues and Jesus is arrested in chapter 18, Peter goes on to deny even knowing Jesus. However, in chapter 21 we find the grace-filled words of Jesus and the transformed heart of Peter. Jesus says to Peter, “Do you love me”. Peter responds with a focus on Jesus first, Jesus’ Lordship, and a transformed heart by saying “Lord, you know I love you”. Jesus responds to Peter by saying “Feed my sheep”.

The word used by Jesus for “feed” in the original language was Bosko. It is here that we find our mission:

To cultivate graceful participation in the Body of Jesus Christ with His nourishing Word.
